Carbon nanotips for Atomic Force Microscopy have been fabricated in CEMES and dipped in a liquid interface. This original method allows investigating the elementary mechanisms, at nanometer scale, which determines droplets spreading. It validated a model proposed in 1984 by J.F. Joanny and P.G. de Gennes, which had not been yet verified experimentally.
